Going 22
Will start with the utter disappointment of Liverpool loosing to Manchester United today. The match as I previously mentioned wasnt a goal delight with Tevez finding behind the net in first half. Okay I'll not be biased but Liverpool did play really well dominated the game but lacked some creativity upfront despite Torres lurking behind Manu's defence.

Going Down.. !!
For quite some time really, I've been telling myself to use the extra time I get after classes more efficiently.. But the whole day driving to chandigarh and 4 hrs class which are coming quite nicely, have been grueling somewhat. Not to forget my 4kms jog, Yes 4 ;-) with help from some really nice adidas joggers helped my flat foot to ease out a bit, adds to the bone tiredness I carry with myself coming back.
Well, the bad news of the week is that my home desktop is going to dad's factory but the good one which actually out-casts the bad is pretty blatant :-) . Yes .. There's a new kid coming in the house which will most likely be Dell. I've gone through HP and lenovo's desktops but I think I'll stick with the Dell Inspiron 530s series. Dell offering pretty good deals to really snatch onto as compared to others. Specially with the dedicated 3D card which in HP is shared which is the last thing I'll want in the new PC of this generation. Well the price am looking for is not much, so will stick to pretty decent config with 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 1 Gb ram n 160 Gb HDD with slick 19" Lcd monitor n the best part of it, the new slim tower ! Definitely an eye catching thing.
Down below is the one with Inspirons .:
and down here is the cheaper one with Vostrons.
Astonishing really. But the pt. of debate is really not this bcuz am planning to buy the ATI radeon HD 2600 XT which costs 1500 more I guess and way better according to reviews.
Am going to place the order tomm, lets c what pans out. I've given a thought for the assembled ones as well but this time I really want a PC with some stunning looks at home along with MacBook. My last one ended being with white cabinet, black dvd drive, a white monitor and black keyboard. It was actually like living in a 1930's movies where everything seemed to be in 2 shades of color really with monochrome forms of visual arts. ( ehhh.. Did I mention my Silver mouse ;-) )
This week will definately be a hustling one with a Champions league MUST WIN match for Liverpool on tues late night and then the BIG one fellows.. I mean really BIG.. Next sunday Liverpool host the Red devils ( Manchester United ) which is a must watch for everybody. It is going to be a cracker jack with flurry of tackles flowing around and excitement all round. I really want liverpool to fuck Manu badly for the absolutely bull shit goal last time from OShea right at the end and am sure its not going to be goal feast so it'll really require someone to pull an absolute rabbit from the hat that day to come out smiling..
Ohh and ya.. The title is for the temp here in parwanoo, it is tormenting really now. Going down everyday. Very chilly ..!!
PS:
Apple releasing a 10.5.2 update for Leopard which is rumoured to be the biggest update from Apple ever for anything in their armory . Will be offering much more speed from the OS and a lot more. Stev Jobs really knows how to live upto the expectations triggered by the rumours that flow in before anything big..

Blimy ..!! Chimps more clever than humans..
After a bustling weekend with weddings and parties and SAP, a small hiatus sneaks in this week to get a new post in, creditable to my sir :-) College life is way past right now, but it was nice reliving the times with friends and those laughs.
The wedding was in Jalandhar, but our meeting pt. was Ludhiana. Well you wont really require some extra brains to think what we exactly did in Ludhiana. Food is all what it is famous for apart from Mercs and filthy rich people. And going to Ludhiana, I learnt one thing, Never own more than 2 cars ;-) Trust me.. My Stan friend owning almost 12 cars lined up in his drive way and for making space to play cricket, imagine how many cars we had shift. I was more interested in watching the Liv match than cricket.
Okay, here's something which might give you a shock. Researchers have shown that young chimps outperform adult humans in a memory test, a concentration-like game using numerals on a computer screen.
I really wonder what kind of a human they put on test with the chimp.

From Black Stripes to Dots.. OS X 10.5
I expected to post in before the weekend but was busy in my SAP course and material management which surprisingly am enjoying. All the purchase requisitions and vendor's purchase orders and all, enticing really to learn all this.
Ok, Jumping onto Leopard ( not literally ;-) ).
Well downloading wasnt the biggest headache and I certainly mean every bit of it. After the elephantine download of 6.85 Gb , something more was in store for my stupefaction. The dvd I sliced to 4.2 Gb to fit on one DVD from this method. After removing languages and printer drivers which was seizing amazing 2+ Gigs . Getting down the dvd to that size made things a bit shacky. While installing the first time , it gave me the shock of a lifetime with 8 min to go for the installation, it showed Installation Failed. I reread every bit of methods I could find for installing Leopard. The worst thing was that I didnt Install and archive. I cleaned the whole system and started installing.
But sadly this meant that I had to install Tiger again for burning Leopard , a fresh copy. And I figured out my mistake which I did while Burning and finally installed and got OS X 10.5 installed. I really liked the Welcome video on the first boot of Leopard.
Its been more than a week I've been using Leopard and more am using it, more am falling in Love with it. It is simply awesome honestly. It cudnt have been more user friendly than this in my opinion. It is one major step ahead of Tiger unlike Vista from windows which failed to offer any user friendliness despite of such eye candy stuff.
Leopard comes with 300 + new features ( well thats wat it says OFFICIALLY ) but if I was not able to see all the 300, I definitely have seen some new and very helpful ones.
- Well, THE first new thing which one cant really miss is the new Dock. Has a translucent bar holding the dock icons with a new reflecting feature.
- There is new feature in the dock with a new animated icon preview in an elegant Arc and Grip formations which really helps in opening applications.
- The search bar on top has got a totally new look which looks good to the eye and has easy access.
- For a download junkie like me who really want to leech out the torrents from the net, leopard offers a Sleep Display hot corner. Earlier it was not possible to switch off display without letting your Mac to take a nap.
- The souped-up Finder introduces a sidebar that allows you to rearrange items in the Places section
- iChat lets you and Leopard-using buddies share files and control each others' desktops, expanding the tool's potential professional use. And you can record iChat sessions as AAC audio or MPEG video files ready for an iPod, which is a great feature for podcasters.
- Mail eases out the work for gmail users to directly add their account without any POP3 settings to be filled and same goes with iChat.
