Finally IMAP..!!

It has been a sine wave plot honestly this week with its and bits of good and bad news flowing around. I wont touch the bad part really but coming straight to the good. Google has finally come up with the IMAP which is absolutely "wow" news. IMAP is internet message access protocol. It is a method of accessing electronic mail or bulletin board messages that are kept on your mail server. In other words, it permits a "client" email program to access remote message stores as if they were local. The people for use there free POP ( like me ) facility to forward mails to mail applications face a problem of re-reading or re arranging things on ur actual gmail account on the web site. But with IMAP, things get shway ! You organise your emails from any device and at the same time , your emails on the web site will also be organised. It has started but not all the gmail accounts really have been spell bound with this facility. Not mine either :-( . But no worries, its going to be activated real soon which will definately take them that extra mile ahead from all the free email providers.

And whilst writing this post, I cant let go of the thought that Leopard is just about to release and the clocks ticking ( apple dot com). Right now, 2 hrs to go for the release. It really gives me creeps by the thought that leopard will be of arnd 6 gb on torrents which is terrbily huge for my inept 256 kbps connection. But if nothing pans out, i'll have to download no matter how much time it takes.

Watching windows grow older with 2000 to Xp and from Xp to vista, only the visual effects and eye candy stuff really take the centre stage. Whereas Mac did what it does best. Innovation !! With 300 + features and arguably the most advanced OS ! But obv lets not go into the raptures about it right now. Wait for my Tiger upgrade to Leopard, then only things will get sweeter. :-)

Not to forget my fantasy team which is doing pretty much ok but still my keeper always riding a different horse right from the day. There is not much difference in the top 5 teams now which am sure will be a nail biting finish towards the end. And cant wait for the biggie this weekend. Am actually afraid to say biggie watching Liverpool stumbling to qualify for the next round of champions league with their horrifying defeat against a shit turkish club, Besiktas. And with a game against Arsenal who just seem to score at will at the moment and honestly playing some B-E-A-utifull football, really ! I really fancy a nil nil draw at anfield this sunday . Lets hope Liverpool find their scoring boots cuz Ars and Manu are playing Juggernauts right now thrashing everybody and the lead is getting painfully bigger everyweek.

Poor Albus..

Its was pretty shocking week with Liverpool coming unscathed over a contorversial win in their Derby match but finally who cares :) .. Win is a win ! And all around the premiership FA's have had a go on the refree's for their poor decisions all over.

The most horrific ( for me atleast ) was the declaration by J.K Rowling straight from the broom cabinet that she had always imagined of Albus Dumbledore to be Gay. Its nothing to laugh or brag about really but still you know your mind wont accept that fact for such a respected teacher to be gay you know. What if Harry found out in the 6th book that Dumbledore was gay, he might have refused to go with him alone in those caves for finding hocruxes and what not. Its good actually she disclosed it after everybody has gone thru with the series or else some of us wud not have been fans of Dumbledore.

Rowling said Dumbledore fell in love with the charming wizard Gellert Grindelwald but when Grindelwald turned out to be more interested in the dark arts than good, Dumbledore was "terribly let down" and went on to destroy his rival.

Its All about Color..!!

Well people really have short memories considering the time its been after the fortunes changed for Shilpa Shetty in Big Boss. What exactly she got to hear was about her food and little stuff which is still a war of words till now.

As most of you might have an idea that am not a follower of cricket but something really caught my eye in the news lately. The mocking by the Mumbai and Nagpur crowd against aussie Symonds. The photo was in paper few days back of people in the crowd displaying monkey actions for Symonds. And its still a matter of debate that whether it is a racism or not. Another amazing thing was people thinking that Symonds is over reacting ? It actually makes me laugh.. !! How in the world we got so hyped up with Shetty case that ended her with heaps of cash and what not. And what happened during the criket match in Nagpur is just being looked off. Most of us might have seen Crash which if u havnt, go watch it pls. ! Its a must see.. But in our case, Crash also crashes big time.. !! We are still married to the color discretion no matter how big and great we talk. We still consider the Blacks as inferior to us and Whites better but actually what we oblivious about are the things which Blacks have done. They have gone past us in so many fields like sports and even comedy acting but we still feel superior. haha.. Nothings changed really. We still living on the perfunctory layer of color.

Well if you think I've some sympathy for aussie's , you are totally wrong.. ! Cuz aussie's are bigger ass holes than us. Very mean n deriding.. !! What actually matters is what we are doing. !! We call Britishers the biggest racist in the world ( Considering Theiry Henry and Ronaldihno get racist comments, still.. ! ) , but I think we should think twice before blurting the previous line again !

iPhone Banter..

Its spilled all over the net and possibly the most talked about things over the net. My friend ( an apple maniac ) is getting an iPhone soon and he has asked me to jailbreak and activate his phone. So all i've been doing is reading forums and watching youtube for hacking the iPhone to work outside AT&T network. Its actually pretty awesome to read so much about iPhone and stuff people doing with it and when I say people, not just any people like you and me, some really wacky brains am talking about who made these all these mods possible in iPhone.

Till now only the iPhone which comes with firmware 1.0.2 is hackable not the newest one which is 1.1.1 . But there is a solution if you have firmware 1.1.1 , you can restore the iPhone and downgrade the firmware to 1.0.2 . And the rest of the method is pretty simple which requires few tools less than 15 mb to get your sims working in iPhone.

Rest i'll update here if i was actually able to hack the iphone when I get or I shud say my friend gets his hands on it. Its actually better if you hack somebody' else's iPhone :-)

Google "Sky" ??

More than a week to be precise when I actually got up to write in. To be honest, not much is changing right now so I really dont have moutains to fill in My Part. Everything's going on in a vicious circle except JSP which is going tagentially away.. !!

I came across this cool thing which Google just came out with. People who use Google earth should update thier versions to 4.2 beta which has an extra feature i.e the Sky view as well. It shows the sky directly above you and shows all the constellations and even galaxies. Honestly it sounds cool but people like us wont really waste time looking at the sky without having a slighest idea what are we looking at. But unquestionably its an innovative thing which Google came up with to get their share rising in Nasdaq. Speaking of shares, my mum dad going all haywire as the Sensex n nifty reaching "sky" ;-) ( Look what google can do )

And there must be times when you come across any cemented floors which hav some shoe impressions on them and we tend to pass over simpering by the thought that, what kind of a doofus person can step on that when it is wet. Well I got my answer to that question day before while coming back from my class. Thinking of nothing when I actually took a short cut due to the intensly populated streets of South ex, I decided to go the other way round of a car and before my eyes could actually send an intimation to the brain to stop my leg going into the wet cement, I stepped on it. The first thing which I did was or I shud say my eyes did were looking for people who got it done for thier pavement but thankfully no one was there so came somewhat happily. :-)

Do watch The Number 23. Really liked the movie and the whole concept of it. But somewhat stretched I shud say with sex scenes coming every 5 min in the movie. Overall I rate the movie better than what yahoo movies rate which is C- but its a movie one should watch. Freaked me out for sometime really. I actually went on searching for Epistemology which is obsession with numbers.

Eatopia.. !!

By and large, the heading sums up my weekend if you ask me. All I can recall from my bumpy memory from friday till tuesday is eating :-) not leaving behind the great time I had with friends and the relived old times of collg of sensless talks and laughs. Eating obv is the best thing after sleeping but this time when Tues arrived, I just wanted simple home food. serously. Am a eating buff but honestly the whole out stretched weekend due to tues's holiday really messed up my diet.

Its been almost 2 and half months my MacBook arrived and TILL few days back, I went mad as a hatter to clean the dark patch which started appearing in the place where we generally keep our hand letting the fingers to do the magic. I tried every cleaner which I could possibly get here, but no Luck ! Then weird idea came to my mind searching on net for cleaning white MacBook and wolllla.. I was just mused to see that people have actually started forums for this topic of cleaning White MacBooks. Well that really helped and the ans to this growing dark patches was a simple eraser. And it really did the trick. I whiped out the whole damn eraser to get my Mac in apple-Pie order.. :-)

It was a stewfull last week as well with JSP going no where aboslutely. The great pace which kicked off with Servlets is all gone down hill. Holidays came, then Java Beans was taken in a single class.. Imagine.. !! It was like making you a watch football match and then telling you, Bend the Ball like Beckham..Duh.. !! Seriously.. All I can conjure up from that lec is the demo which our teacher showed us of a star shaped character juggling beans which really left me in the center of no where !!

Again, ya again, I actually managed to watch a veritable waste of 2 hrs in theatre in a span of 2 weeks. The Contract. I dont know what got into the directors head to write that type of a story line where nothing was explained and you got more n more info till the end. But Morgan Freeman's acting was superb. I've been a great fan of him after Million dollar baby.

The great mistake from my last Post. Its about the phone I rote, I actually premised about the intimation in the silent mode but the phone does vibrates in the silent mode as well. But actually its no where in the menus that in silent mode that msg tone will ring or vibrate. Guess thats Samsung style ;-) N my beloved fantasy team which is back on winning streak with liverpool where Yossi scored an absolute stunner. And for the Manu fans, they actually playing shit ass If i want to sum it in 2 words. Just stroke of lucks and nothing else. While their derby partners, i.e. Manchester City are looking tooo good. If they keep playing like this, I bet they cud wriggle past the conked up Chelsea after their Special one's departure.

Not to forget my duplicate Liverpool jersey which I bought from Palika doesnt fit me.. Damn.. !! I was forced to buy from there bcuz the Adidas store doesnt hav the new Jersey of this season. Imagine.. Palika has it and official store doesnt. How advanced are We !
