Long Week ..

Despite of the fact that its just been 5 days when I came from home and stepped into the scorching weather of Delhi, I still not able to realize the fact that its just been 5 days and Damn !! Sat with best friend (MacBook) many times to flesh out my thoughts and write about things but really cudnt gather anything.

Weekend was terrible, in all fronts I should mention. Decided to study nicely on the weekend after chilling out on Friday with my friend Cd but the thought of Java multiple choice questions is giving me a daunting feeling similar to ones I had in Electrical courses back in college which spoiled the whole euphoria of weekend. I've done pretty well till now in Java, but those reasoning questions are not the thing which even program lovers would like to ans to. Lets see, I have my first Java test this week.

Coming to the weekend topic, apart from studies, Epl was the best thing that pumped some blood in my veins. Liverpool won !! But sadly fantasy football manager, this was the worst week so far in this season. Scored the lowest in my group and with the likes of Mr. Bajwa picking his pace towards me, coming weeks wont be too pretty for any of the fantasy managers in our group. Each 6 of us are too close in term of points and all battling for the first position.

Sunday went buying house hold things and making dal chava. From liquid soaps to milk to tomatoes and what not and all these its n bits costed us around 900. With mom dad, you dont even care to check the prices of the stuff you want to buy just cuz they are paying :-) and when it comes to shopping all by yourself is a totally different game.

Saw Sunshine and Zodiac back to back on friday and bloody hell, sunshine was one pathetic insubstantial movie I must say. The concept of the movie when I heard was very riveting but the movie came out to be total 2hr time waste. But Zodiac managed to heal some of the burns due to Sunshine. I liked the movie but definitely I would not add "nice" for it. The story line was good which some what reminds me of a game I played ages ago " Still Life" The game and the movie are both based on the a murder mystery leaving it to be a typical "who dunnit" story. ( oh, Did I break the ice ) To be honest, the game was better than the movie but still the movie is worth watching at home. Pls dont even think of going to watch in a theater !

And have a look at this video if you about to yawn (after reading this post), this will surely Cltr R you or for the Mac users I should say " R" you ( Refresh). The guy in blue shirt is one funny bugger, the sound is a bit icky, so better volume up !! And am sure that my cousin (Apple's spy) must have seen this video long before. ;-D

Sunday Sentiments !!

Unluckily , ya unluckily had my classes cancelled on monday and tuesday as well which made me take a quick decision of coming back home or not, and there I was, sitting in the morning shatabdi on saturday headed to my sweet home.

Honestly I really wanted my classes cuz finally i got the hang of Event Handling and GUI which were giving a rough time in classes earlier. But just when I had a feeling that I was gripping onto things, I slipped ! n Damn class on friday was a shell shocker really. We have started with Multiple Threading which I exactly have no idea till now. Plan to study on monday and tuesday with all day without football.

Weekend was obviously all booked for football when the mighty RED's (Liverpool) hosted Men in Blue (Chelsea) at Anfield. The game was totally a Liverpool fan's delight untill the F***in referee gave a wrong decision of a penalty which leveled things up. In-spite of the wrong decision and a draw, Liverpool actually made their point this season of being strong contenders for the title. Fantasy football did pretty much ok as well. But still am on second position which blatantly is not where I want to be !

Last week went to watch the most awaited movie of the year rush hour 3 and Damn.. !! The movie is simply all about Chris Tucker who's comedy is simply sublime and will surely topple you off your chair .One thing which really disappointed me was Jackie Chan. His trade mark stunts and all those high flying slick moves were not there , and he's looking pretty old. But still, both again gave a terrific performance together. It was well worth my effort to find the way from South Ex to Saket's PVR on Google Earth.

Reminding me of Google Earth, Microsoft people also planning to start there own maps site which will give you a 3-D view of the city and everything.

Shway aye !!

I came across a poem which was very interesting. Read it carefully cuz you bound to trip up.

I take it you already know/ Of tough and bough and cough and dough.
Others may stumble but not you,/ On hiccough, through, laugh and though.
Well done! And now you wish , perhaps,/ To learn of less familiar traps.
Beware of heard, a dreadful word/ That looks like beard and sounds like bird.
And dead-it's said like bed, not bead./For goodness's sake. dont call it deed !
Watch out for meat and great and threat:/They rhyme with suite and straight and debt.
A moth is not a a moth in mother,/Nor the both in bother, broth in brother,
And here is not a match for there,/ Nor dear and fear for bear and pear,
Ad then there's dose and rose and lose-/Just look them up-and goose and choose,
And cork and work and card and ward,/And font and front and word and word,
And do and go and thwart and cart./Come, come, I've hardly made a start.
A dreadfull language ? Man alive,/ I'd mastered it when I was five.

60 & Getting Sexier !!

A very Happy Independence day To all !! Its been 60 years and still the golden bird rising high in the sky inspite having full of scum and what not which you all read in the news papers. 15th aug is just a welcome holiday in the middle of the week which actually took some pressure off and let us wrangle in our bed sheets for an hour or 2 more unless you really crazy to watch the parade and everything.

What do actually we infer from the word Independence Day ? India's birthday or its just merely left a holiday or whatever one wants to call it. Birthday which is the most eagerly awaited day of the year in our life just because we tend to get soo much attention for that one day , one just falls in love with everyone whosoever wishes us. If you have never thought about it, do give your piece of your mind for why do we celebrate birthdays ? And if we go out and celebrate our birthdays, why not we do the same for our country. Its easy to be cynical about corruption, frustrated by roads, depressed by poverty, specially fumed by the thought of a canteen guy of Lok Sabha who owns 50 cars and 5500 plots to his name in Delhi and the list goes on I no, but sometimes actually we should stop taking this oblivious attitude towards small comforts we take for granted and look to the brighter side because we actually live here ( ok ya some are not presently here :) ) and look forward to the future with hopes is itself a cause for celebration. And I think leaving all the stats behind of which ever sector we have progressed and where we didnt (spilled all over the news papers today), our national anthem just not calls for standing ovation but something More !!

Shani Uncle ..

Last week was I should quote it as the worst week till now this year. My phone, my glasses and sadly my mom's new santro.

Gathering all my might and ending the respiting week, i resumed my gymin on thursday and Duh ! Gyming went fine but some B**** dropped a 2 kgs dumble on my Razr and the screen's now totally blanked out. I went to that girl though without any hope to get my phone some justice but still, i told that girl that she messed up my phone and how cooly she said , oh did I ? I didnt notice. And there I stood , tounge tied and nothing in my mind to say to her. I actually felt for the first time that all my gyming is futlie. We guys should learn something from girls. So smartly she said something which i couldnt even ans to !
Planned to come home this weekend with my friend ajgar from evening shatabdi and there it was. I was adjusting my luggage and I broke my spectiles which were doing pretty well from the past 2 years and I liked them a lot. Coming back, time just flew away which actually never seemed to move the clock hands earlier. Watched Vacancy while coming back, was a ok movie but not worth watching in theatre. And then while coming back, some drunk guy banged the back bumper of our car. He initially ran off in the starting but eventually got screwed on the barrier. The Police went really up for him. I really cudnt count frankly how many slaps he got tight across his face. So ppl, one advice, just dont run away if u banged somebody's car. Its good to accept your fault and apologize rather trying to act a smart ass and driving your way through. Police really dont think twice giving tight ones across and that too countless times. Somehow i was feeling bad for the poor fellow who got hammering from police but main thing against him was he was drunk and very arrogant.
But finally things settled down coming back home and got back my longged laid back life. The best thing coming back home was the start of new season of English Premeir League. The first day was amazin with Steven Gerrard scoring the winner. But the fantasy football didnt kick the way I wanted. The biggest blow was my keeper didnt play but on the whole team did pretty well.

Here's something I would like you to have a look. His name's Criss Angel, and no he's not my Shani Uncle ;) he's a mind freak and has his own show airing on Star World. You just need to have a look at this which totally freaked me out.

My Hero !!

Before I could actually get past The Deathly Hallows where every body were actually starting to die and the war of the Dumbledore's army against the Death Eaters is just picking up pace , I got a book in my room which I really cant resist to pick up and read. But with all my might, am quite tenaciously commited to complete HP first.

Its been undoubtably the best book out of all but (Spoiler, though most of you must hav gone atleast 2 times from page to page) death of Dobby, which was one of the most touching moments in the book, Fred and I can sense, many more to die. The best thing about the listening to the book was the narration by Jim Dale. Its actually quite amazing to listen to narration with everybody having different voices and which makes fairly easy to make out the ppl saying the lines. Hallows and Hocruxes were with any shadow of doubt was a spine chilling plot. Still things are actaully a bit hazy about the hallows bcuz the snitch hasnt been ne great help till now and cloak was obviously the best utility thing Harry had in these years.I'll actually be in a better postion to write about Deathly Hallows when i'm done with it.

Steven Gerrard !! Liverpool captain, possibly should be England's team captain not John Terry in my opinion and plays BETTER in mid field. I had to press caps lock for those words ( hoping Rafa benitez reads this ;) ) [Joke] he's been made to play on the right flank sometimes which is actually very irritating to watch. I sound like a football freak as if football's in my blood but actually i started gaining intrest from the past 2 years. I actually remember quite cleary when I got FIFA 2005 for my Ps2 and me n my friend maninder had an awesome time playing multiplayer. And blatantly, growing up in India, one generally tends to support Manshester United by default which is THE famous club in the world. Its like an IF statement in java,
If (xyz=football)
System.out.println("I'm Manchester United Fan");

I truly got into this default loop myself but gradually when started playing with other teams and eventually watching English Primier League(EPL), managed to get a else statement in my program ;) and i came to know about lot of other clubs and players. That time one player which really struck a great impact which made me choose liverpool most of the times in FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer was Gerrard who wears No. 8 . Ever since then i've been adherent with him and liverpool. Spcially the victory over AC Milan in 2005 in Istanbul was the moment when i actually became a Red completely from Red Devil(manu). Football took over in which completely side kicked cricket in my life( I actually feel bad that i cant name the starting 11 of our Indian cricket team to be honest)
To this day, I've been a die hard supporter of Liverpool and ofcourse Gerrard ( will specially be a nightmare if he leaves Mersyside). My cousin Kshitij, actually sent me a book which I was looking here in Delhi since long which was one of the nicest things neone has done for me. The euphoria was actually many times higher than for my MacBook.

I'm actually resisting myself to start reading it, have to cope up with Java as well, which has raced to Exceptions and assertions so soon where am still stuck with classes. I managed to peep into few pages and read its and bits and it was really very touchy to read his part of the story. Its all about his childhood dreams, extraordinary camaraderie, determination , his cousin's death at 9 in a football match in Hillsborough, high octane thrills when they were loosing 0-3 in half time and the jubilation when they won after that and when he scored a 90th minute equalizer in FA cup final and many more incidences which were a milestones of his life. Specially he has written about Gattuso which I accidentally bumped into when i was flipping pages ;) Anti Gattuso fans who love to read things he wrote about him and about other Milan team.

Overall the book is too tempting to get your hands to and I can assure you, If Steven Gerrard isn't your hero yet, by the time you've read this he will be...

"Angel Holding an angel"

I cudnt resist putting up this pic as well bcuz it was too cute !!
