So finally after very long I shud say the big wait was over and something for us Indians to be gleefull about. We won the 20-20 World Cup. I wasnt keeping much track of the any of the matches to be honest and didnt even see a single match in this tournament. ( ya, I no its surprising ). But the sound of Ind vs Pak just made me pick up my car keys and drive st. to bua's house to watch the final. This was the second cricket match I saw to be precise after that mammoth match between Aus and Saf. No wonder I got a call from my friend Devgan today and the first thing he said was ," Kitne Goal hue " . ! haha.. I really appreciate that guys sense of humor.. !!
Cricket just rules the Indian society really. A place like south EX in Delhi was all lifeless during the match n u wont believe (neither did i ) my class was also called off due to match. When I reached bua's house, I found everybody just hooked on to the tv sets. Specially my dadi was so into the game that she cudnt stop looking onto the screen while doin her routine puja and my Phupha ji just ready to kick our indian bowlers ass and and ready to bowl himself for every sixes and fours they gave. I bet my dadi was praying for our cricket team n nothing else :-). Then finally we won the tournament which was a big thing and a good passifier for the wounds of the World cup which was earlier this year.
And another finally to this post after the a really really long wait for my phone. The word is simply awesome if u ask me. You wont find a better phone in this price range despite of the fact that it is samsung :). The phone is just 10.9 mm thick. I havnt measured it but well thats what it says on the box, Its slick phone with 4 touch buttons on the front panel and key pad slides out downwards. The slid mechanism is a bit rusty I shud say bcuz being dimensionally so small, there's no space for you to slide the front panel up which leaves you giving your finger prints on the screen while you slide the phone. The touch buttons really gave me a hard time first few hours. Everybody being a phone junky who really maneuver the keys sharpish and things really come to the matrix mode when handling the phone. You wont even realise and it'll call and and unbelivable things can happen with these cool touch sesitive buttons and when I say touch sensitive I mean real sensitive.
Another flaw which is THE most irritating thing and which is the ONLY flaw in the functionality of U600 is that it offers no profiles management, just ringing and silent. It didnt bother me much though but the thing which really pissed me off was that for incoming msg, you can only hav a tone or a vibration intimation thing no matter your incoming calls are on ringing state or silent.
Rest the phone is a worth buy and am sure everbody will fall in love with the stunning looks and menus and displays and features lives up to everybody's expectation. Well another down side of the phone which I wont put in my -ve box are the themes. You cant change themes in U600 ! No hardware smashing and no third party softwares, nothin. But the amazing thing is it changes by countries. Though I wont be goin newhere in near future so it wont be much of a use for me but still like here it shows Taj mahal and changes with the places of most importance. The best thing is when you dial no.s from your phone which come animated with a pen or a leaf whichever you want. Another plus to the phone is that here is a setting for sunlight that alters the colour scheme and does indeed make the display a bit clearer in bright sunlight. Not to forget its brilliant camera of 3.2 MP which comes with LED flash.
And well the Battery part I shudnt touch :). The fully charged batt lasted 1 and half days but obv the first 2 days were all messing arnd in the menus and songs and videos and camera testing and going to every single menu trying to search something out of curiosity. Seems to be ok..
There's a pic which I got in my mail, some forward. Usually I dont care to open any forwards in my mail box and just effortlessly press the delete button but I accidently stumbled onto this one which had a very cute pic. I really looked closely if its a work of some hi fi photoshop ka kamaal but cudnt make out. What it looks like to you ?

The REAL feeling..
Gone were the days of college when we actually didnt think twice before our getting our shoes on and throwing ourselves everywhere on the ground to play the game we loved. After planning and planning and more planning from weeks, finally bought a football and got myself ready to play in a ground near my apartment ( Where a couple cudnt help themselves kissin ). Though only two of us ( my apartment mate ) were there but the feel of football on the feet brought the long gone feeling back to life. It felt great to don the Real Madrid jersey I have and play in the ground though it wasnt much of a play but still long balls and some show off juggling were enough to set the mood..
One very cool thing I also did this week was, heard the BBC radio Five Live on my MacBook. Well it seems dumb though but try (Click here n click ne of the available matches) and then come back to the next line which will make things much more meaningful.
The flaw is that it doesnt work outside UK. But doing some fiddling with HTTP proxy, I actually managed to get it work and listen to live commentary of Champions League yesterday night. About proxies, I found on this Site which had countless proxies for every place. You just have to start your real player and goto prefrences and click HTTP Proxy shown down here
and paste any UK proxy but mind you on one thing really. Finding a working proxy from the whole bunch is a hay in a stack kind of a job.
And there is picture which I want to show which is quite humorous and astonishing. I apologize for the poor image quality but you'll have to spare me bcuz am on my dad's rusty nokia 6670 and that too , its shot at night. My U600 yet to come which i'll be getting this week positively.
Look closely in the pic and see there is something on the car.Ok, Its a dog ..!! I saw this very jocular view while jogging and cudnt help myself taking this pic. What does this picture actually imply ? Feel free to comment the first thing crosses your mind seeing the pic !
Does it really show that there's no space for poor doggy's on the roads or dogs are smart enough to find a nice place without anyone disturbing them up there.
I really dont think the person who owns the car will find any thing to laugh about in this pic for sure. :-)

28 Weeks Later..
Its been a long week if you ask me where and what I've been upto. The advanced java kicked off at lightening pace with loads to catch up with. Have to revise my HTML concepts which I skimply went through from a web site. Am frankly finding the servlets and the whole thing pretty interesting but from the past experiences, I better be ready for something horrendous in near future. Learning Java means the process of piling books will go on untill the very end and the end doesnt seem to come any soon. Oh boy. :-(
From the last post till now, there was very little which I cud flock together and update to My Part ( ). I actully have few complaints about people failing to understand, what is this symbol between the braces. Its an apple sign which I guess only Mac users have the god gifted power to see the it. I havnt tested safari of windows though, it might have this symbol in its lib. Coming to my eventfull weekend ( I call it eventfull, most of you wont agree ) ,most of the it went by connecting and reading articles for using Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) or similar remote access softwares for Mac. One which I found was Chicken of the VNC lol's.. I no the name is too funny , cant even imagine what crossed somebody's mind to keep a name like that. But the chicken of the VNC was too chic to work for .Me and my friend had a coversation for 3 hrs on skype to just get the each others screen ( I no am crazy ). I no its a ludicrous affair bcuz it aint that hard to get these things to work and for once I really went to roll back my memories of our trusty windows remote client when ARD was looking rusty. But then after reading loads of blogs about remote access and watching video tutorials and ssh connections and what not, bumped into a software called Hamachi. Its not a very unknown software but I really didnt have an idea that it came for MAC OS X as well which actually did the trick.
Went to see this movie yesterday, 28 weeks later. And pls, dont watch this movie. Reading the reviews on net made me watch the 2 hr complete non sense. I expected it to be a more by-the-books popcorn affair but to my utter disapointment, it wasnt. It was just a fight for survial from a rage virus which was spread throughout London. Its a typical Dawn of the dead or Resident Evil types movie. Resident Evil though offered much more kick ass action with some slick gun shooting that keeps us glued to the screen which definately 28 Weeks Later failed to offer. And desperately waiting for Shoot' em Up. It is surely going to be a action packed piece of celluloid ( seems to be from the trailer ).
And finally England (football team) beginning to paddle things up and getting into a winning habit. After so long I actually found them playing for each other rather playing shit football the whole 90 min. England which always has been the most disconent team from many years despite of having a star studed team which one cud dream of and then also some how manage to fall like pack of cards with a reasonable opposition. It was a boon I guess from the bane that Lampard suffered a injury which made Mc Laren play Gerrard and Barry play in the mid field who I read in Gerrards autobiography were very good friends and came together for a debut to represent the England team.
Lets see, today they play Russia which is again important match to win to qualify for the EURO. But this time I think i'll go with Spain, again a team which has mouth watering talent and style but fail to perform. And thankfully premiership is coming back this weekend boys which will definately bring back the euphoria which was lost this weekend. And hope this time I end up smashing people in my fantasy league and bring my Raiders back. !!

iPhone ?? Look Closer.. !!
Ok, I could not retain myself from writing a post on iPod Touch. Ye boys, the new iPod Touch which was unveiled yesterday along with an upgradation or I shud say (you'll agree with me as well) is a degradation. The new iPod nano's become a hobit now it seems which really failed to impress me.
iPod Touch apart from having almost deceptive looks of being an iPhone, has many features which am sure would blow your head off. It comes with Wi-fi and all the web browsing and emails can be done on that slick piece of metal. Yes it is metal ..!! For those who are dumb enough to test the metal properties by putting their iPod on a huge piece of magnet. (DO NOT TRY THIS), specially if its from HP.. ;) I'm sure only few of the very few who read my dormant blog will actually find the humor element in what I just wrote above.
It costs for 299$ US, which is I guess pretty affordable and something I would like to get my hands onto by next year. A thing which really bamboozled me was the price drop of iPhone and that by 200$. Man.. !! What you make out of that ? Is it really to pump the sales in the market or what ? But obviously, it'll be a delight for people who kept their hearts in the pockets earlier and now can loosen up some to buy it.
To be really honest, hats off the Steve Jobs who always makes a mark in the gadget market with watever he comes with and it ends up becoming the in thing.

if (AJ = core Java); System.out.println(" Pizza Time");
After becoming a qualified Java programmer ( Core ), things were on a little lighter side from yesterday. And it feels really great to pass that exam when only 4 people passed out of 35 in our batch.
Obviously it called for a celebration, after realizing the trauma I actually went through in that agonizing 65 min. But the score which popped up after the test made all my efforts feel real small. Celebration blantantly meant eating which is the best thing I cud do ! Went to this new pizza chain which has opened recently here, Sbarro. I wont sound ecstatic but the pizza was too good.. First pizza i've had here which actually stand a chance to Pizza Hut. They have those typical huge type slices and stuffed ones too which were too yummy. The worst part thing about the place was that they dont give water. Only cold drinks and for a cold drink toatler ™ ( My own created word ) like me who has left cold drinks from the past 2 years had a difficult time getting the pizza down my throat. But, overall had a nice experience with a cheese slice and a chicken stuffed something something.
Saw transformers and boy.. One good movie which I wished I cud have been more generous to Michel Bay's (N Megan Fox too ;) she was too HOT ) sci fi movie and watched it in a theater. But watching on my MacBook wasnt a bad experience afterall. You just can lay down in any position you like on bed and keep the laptop in any position you want to, adjust volume according to you and the greatest power of all which theatres dont offer.. the PAUSE BUTTON :-)
And Ahoyy. I've finally gone for the samsung U600 after lot of discussions and what not. The sad part is that i'll get the phone on 21st most probably of this month which is pretty late for me bcuz m desperate to get my paws on it.
Fantasy football surprisingly went reasonable despite having selected 3 players who didnt play on the weekend which was a big blow to my team. And as I stated in my earlier posts, Mr. Bajwa has wooshed past me. Not much but still a lead of 3.5 points makes you sink 3.5 times in your chair when you see this page. Here are the 6 contenders fighting for the ultimate reward. Ehh which is actually nothing. But only the football freaks can understand the exultation of victory in fantasy football.
Mr. Bajwa is The_Red_Devils and my team is Raiders Are Back .
Points table says it all. It will be one hell of a season this time with lot of good contenders around and nothing can be predicted till now bcuz there r still 33 games to go :-) We'll just have to wait for the top manager untill the fat lady sings.

MobileBee..
Mobile is one thing which I really hate buying bcuz I really lack that pick one and go home types panache in me. Still I manged to narrow down my options to 2 slick ones after reading and watching videos on youtube.
This is Nokia e50->
Both phones are sleek ofcourse samsung one has edge when it comes to looks which is a total eye candy. But the main thing which holds me back taking a step ahead towards Samsung is obviously its stigma which comes along of its unsatisfactory Battery results. U600 definitely cover ups the battery issue to some extent with its sensational silken looks and to add weight to its side is its thickness which is just 11 mm and blimy which leaves us dumb struck with the question that "Why dont nokia people make phones so thin". Nokia e50 obviously a simple phone with slick looks and small and thin. Just what I want ! Both phones actually fall through my specifications filter but still not able to finalize which one to go for.
U600 is obviously pretty high priced of arnd 14.5 grands and e50 comes for 9 grands. Prices seem to be pretty good deciding factor but its THE biggest problem which has left me in a quandary. I have a friend working in samsung who can get me 4500/- off on U600 and most likely I'll be able to get e50 for 8k's.
Am falling for U600 till now, but am waiting for something to pull me back to our old n trusted nokia. ;) Battery issue is giving me creeps in case of samsung. Sigh..
